Fernet is made from a number of herbs and spices which include myrrh, rhubarb, chamomile, cardamom, aloe, and especially saffron, with a base spirit distilled from grapes.

At 30% ABV, Contratto Fernet offers a much softer, approachable and complex finish than other Fernets on the market.
